Please bring a folding chair for your attendees.
The location is John Dacey's house, 2207 Wittington Blvd, Alex, VA 22308.  Please do not park in the driveway--park on the street.
The club will provide food and drink.  If coming, please let John know at 301-503-3377 or no later than 5pm on Friday, 17 September.

Note that only those members who are in full good standing with the club may vote for officers or on issues.  Full good standing consists of completed registration with both Fort Hunt Rugby and USA Rugby as well as fully paid dues for both, for the 2020-2021 rugby year.
    See you there.
Update, 3 September 2021

The 2021-2022 rugby year has officially begun.

USA Rugby registration: it is open and ready via the Sportlomo website.  Go ahead and register now, valid for the entire 1 Sep 21-30 Aug 22 rugby year.

Fort Hunt/FHYAA registration: not yet open.  With the recently announced mandate from Fairfax County Public Schools that all high school athletes must have a COVID-19 vaccination, we are collecting guidance from all relevant sources and will incorporate it into our registration.  Look for registration to open later this month.

The Warriors intend to tour to Ireland in March 2022, during the Fairfax County Public Schools spring break, so start saving your pennies now.  More info to follow.

Right now we are offering a program of rugby for boys/girls HS (9th-12th grade), girls MS (7th/8th), and girls youth (5th/6th) for 2020-2021.

The Gators need a head coach--who wants to step up?

We have plenty of interest for boys MS (7th-8th grade), but don't have two coaches to make it go...volunteer!

Check this space and the Gators and Wariors pages on Facebook for updates.  The POC is John Dacey, club president, 301-503-3377, rugby007@aol.com.

Come play rugby with us!

We are a youth rugby club established in 2006, offering a program of fall rugby developmental activities, an organized spring state-level and regional competition leading to possible national and regional all-star opportunities, and sometimes a summer recreational rugby 7s season for boys and girls high school (U-19) and girls middle school/youth (7th/8th grade, 5th/6th grade) players (no boys MS or Youth at this time).  We are the 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021 boys Virginia state high school Varsity champions, and have been nationally ranked in the US top 15 since 2017.  Our 2019 boys fresh/soph team was last ranked #2 in the country...among state all-star teams.  Our girls HS team is the Virginia state champion runner-up in 2012, 2013, and again in 2014.  Our coaches have a combined 150+ years of playing experience, most at elite levels, more than 130 years of coaching experience, more than 30 years of refereeing experience, and more than 50 total years of rugby team/club administration experience.

Our mission is to introduce youth--and parents/supporters--to the lifetime sport of Rugby Union Football, an outstanding and immensely fun sport to play and to watch, which offers players improved strength, fitness, and coordination and teaches discipline, decisionmaking, teamwork, comraderie, closely controlled and focused tackle contact in an environment emphasizing fun, high-level competition, tradition, sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, and officials.
Looking for a Girls Head Coach and Boys Middle School Coaches:
The Gators need a new head coach--who wants to step up?
For the MS boys: we have plenty of interest, all the equipment and full structure/organization in place to support dedicated Fort Hunt middle school teams for girls and boys, but we need coaches to make it happen.  No experience necessary--we will teach you.  If you'd like to run 7th/8th grade boys or girls rugby, please contact us.

Fort Hunt Rugby, 2021-2022

As of 1 September 2021 it's a new rugby year, and everyone must register with USA Rugby via Sportlomo.  This is an annual requirement.

ALL players must register with USA Rugby via Sportlomo. This is a mandatory annual online registration, and is valid every year until 31 August.  If you don't register you cannot train and will not play in any scrimmage or match.

Make sure you sign up for Fort Hunt Rugby, on this site and the big orange REGISTER button at top right.  Registration will open later in September.

Club Registration and payment of fees is mandatory.

Click the "REGISTER NOW" link at the top of this page to register for Fort Hunt Rugby.  This is a club registration--in addition to USA Rugby registration--and is mandatory.  You cannot play with our club unless you are a member in good standing.

Players who need assistance with registration fees do have to pay the full registration amount, but must pay a minimum of $20  per month to be a member in good standing with the club, and to be eligible to train and play in matches.  Contact Coach Dacey (below) for specifics, and to arrange payment.
